Vander Brand was founded by principal and creative director, Julie Vander Herberg. A graduate of York University and Sheridan College’s joint Bachelor of design program, Julie furthered her studies abroad at the internationally renowned Bauhaus Universtät in Weimer, Germany.
She has garnered praise from clients for her hands-on approach, thoughtful design sensibility and exacting standards. Her keen ability to understand the needs of her clients and their audiences, along with her innovative and results-driven strategies, make her an industry standout.
Anna Vander Herberg
Anna’s acute sense of strategy, concept ideation and attention-to-detail ensures that all brands and creative campaigns are positioned at the highest caliber. After receiving her Business & Communications degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, Anna went on to study design at OCAD University. Leveraging from her education and experience with real estate, hospitality and retail brands, Anna develops brands and creative campaigns that generate sales conversions.
Melanie is passionate about experimental and experiential design, with interests firmly rooted in branding and identity design. She received her Bachelor of Design from OCAD University where her love for art and critical thinking grew. She is enthusiastic about developing effective and efficient design solutions, while putting storytelling and accessibility at the forefront of brand longevity. She has worked as the lead designer for clients ranging from the fashion to the hospitality industry.
Natasha’s progressive vision is motivated by the development of design education and culture. After studying at both Dawson College in Montreal and OCAD University in Toronto, Natasha brings an inspired perspective on cultural identity and its influence on design. Natasha’s spirited approach to design is driven by her insatiable pursuit to ask the big questions. Her commitment to these inquiries translates into building solid multifaceted brand strategies and design solutions.
Emilie’s strategic endeavours are consistently driven by her natural sense of design, aesthetic, and branding. Beginning her career as a social media specialist, Emilie developed content and managed the communities of a variety of social accounts, including editorial, automotive, consumer packaged goods, and pharmaceutical. She then went on to become the digital editor at Canada’s fastest growing luxury lifestyle publication before bringing her passion for stylized content to Vander Brand. Emilie’s diverse experience and ability to align client’s consumer experience digitally results in the highest performance, both online and off.
Social Media Coordinator
Bonita’s design work is driven by her interest in social, political and cultural landscapes. After being awarded The Cumine Family Award at OCAD University, Bonita has since expanded her work across multiple disciplines, with projects involving public relations, branding, design, fashion and social media. Bonita has a passion for keeping up with the constant growth of technology and social platforms, enabling her to curate brands and increase social presence on a dynamic level.
